COMBAT ENGINEER (Closed to Women)

Major Duties: Combat engineers command, serve, or assist as a member of a team, squad, section, or platoon. They are engaged in providing combat engineering support to combat forces.

Specific Qualifications for Initial Award of MOS:

Be able to lift 124 pounds

Normal color vision

A Minimum of 90 in the aptitude area CO

 

HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Major Duties: The heavy construction equipment operator operates crawler and wheeled tractors with dozer attachments, scoop loader, motorized grader, and towed or self-propelled scraper.

Specific Qualifications for Initial Award of MOS:

Red/green color discrimination

A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area GM

Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator license

 

LIGHT WHEEL VEHICLE MECHANIC

Major Duties: The light wheel vehicle mechanic supervises and performs unit maintenance and recovery operations on gasoline and diesel fueled light wheel vehicles (prime movers designated. as 5 ton or less and their associated trailers), and associated items; supervises unit maintenance and recovery operations on track and heavy wheel vehicles, and on material handling equipment.

Specific Qualifications for Initial Award of MOS:

Normal color vision A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area

 

FUEL AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS REPAIRER

Major Duties: The fuel electrical systems repairer performs direct support and general support maintenance on fuel and electrical systems of wheel and track vehicles, brake system components, and on internal combustion engines associated with power generation equipment or material handling equipment.

Specific Qualifications for Initial Award of MOS:

Normal color vision

minimum score of 105 in aptitude area MM

A knowledge of construction, functions, and nomenclature of wheel and track vehicles and materials-handling equipment

A knowledge of internal combustion engines
